Executive design for the new railway bridge on the Petrace river close to Reggio Calabria - 2014

The bridge is composed by 5 single spans for a total length of 250 m; the section of every single span (max 64 m) is composed by a steel open-section thin-plated beam (max 3,8 m height) closed with a composite upper reinforced concrete slab where are placed the ballast and the two railways. Seismic dynamical analysis. Fatigue Limit State. Studies of the longitudinal and transverse stiffeners. Checks deformations with individual FEA models of the three beams made with two-dimensional elements.

The project was updated in June/July of 2015 with changes in steel sections for RFI requests.
