The building is placed in one wider building complex in Via Varesina and it has a mixed structure in concrete (slab and stairwell) and steel (columns and beams) for a total surface area of about 10,000 m2. The 8 floors of the building are supported by 4 steel truss 7,6 m high and 40 m long so we were able to obtain 1,300 m2 floors without columns. Under the building there is a steel and glass structure for the entrance hall like an artificial hills supported by rods fixed in the beams of the building.
Verification of the strains of the steel structure and comparison with the values obtained with the 3D model. Site Supervisor.
It is a very interesting design for the complexity of the mounting of the steel structures for dimensions and weight of the trusses. The building has appeared in many Italian magazines of architecture.
