Pre-cast cooling tower in Singapore - 2006

Cooling tower composed by 20 cells in pre-cast concrete elements in the Shell refinery plant on the island in front of Singapore. Analysis of the horizontal stability of the tower for the impossibility to lay bracing elements and, for this reason, instructions for the phase of assembly. 3D FEA model of the cooling tower concrete structure completed with steel element and all single bolts. Calculation of all pre-cast elements, lifting anchor system and all fixing anchors; verification for crack widths.

Development of accompanying documentation in English.

Calculation done with British code BS8110.
