67 m high residential tower in Piazza Tirana in Milan - 2005

67 m high residential building tower consists of two slender buildings in reinforced concrete structure with exterior bearing walls. Structurally particular is the following problem: between +27.80 and +34.20 walls of the small tower which act as braces, are broken. The horizontal forces are transferred to the main tower by steel struts. The structure was studied with an entire 3D element finite model.

The project was exposed in the Urban Centre of the Municipality of Milan for exposition “Milano Città che sale” (Milan, The city rises).
